He completed his medical education at Universidad Central de Venezuela – Escuela Luis Razetti and underwent residency and fellowship training at the University of Miami, with a focus in Surgical Critical Care. Dr. Rivas has been practicing for 35 years and has been a valued member of Clark Health for the past 11 years.

His philosophy of care is simple yet powerful: “Always do my best for my patients.” Dr. Rivas appreciates the benefits of working in a rural and community setting, where he enjoys more personal contact with patients and a less congested environment that allows for deeper connections and focused care.
